GiwaBar
GiwaBar – A Hidden Extension of GiwaKang, Where Wine and Cuisine Converse
Chef Minchul Kang has unveiled GiwaBar, a refined and intimate venue located within the same building as GiwaKang. This private space offers an à la carte dining experience inspired by GiwaKang’s culinary philosophy, alongside an exceptional wine selection curated by Head Sommelier Jeongin Lee.
At GiwaBar, wine is more than a pairing—it becomes a dialogue with food. Sommelier Jeongin Lee’s list spans from vibrant natural wines to time-honored Old World classics, carefully chosen to complement the evolving flavors of each dish.
Chef Kang uses GiwaBar as a canvas to explore the fluidity and expansiveness of modern Korean cuisine. Quiet and atmospheric, the bar is a sanctuary in the heart of the city—where refined taste, creativity, and authenticity meet.
GiwaKang
An Innovative Perspective on Korean Cuisine

Our Story

Where Energy Flows and Moments Resonates:
GiwaKang
Gi (氣), though invisible, is the warm, potent energy that weaves through all existence, binding us to nature and each other with its quiet strength.
Kang (江) represents this energy as a flowing river—serene yet profound—meandering gently into hearts and minds, leaving an indelible impression.
At GiwaKang, we honor the timeless synergy of earth and nature’s essence, channeling its flow into a culinary journey that celebrates both tradition and innovation. Like a river carving its path, our cuisine seeks to create a grand stream of flavors—bold, harmonious, and deeply resonant.
Experience a new perspective and immerse yourself in the artistry of GiwaKang, where every dish embodies the energy of the land and the flow of the river, awakening the spirit and nourishing the soul.
